CUREXO Technology was coming up on a big milestone, they would be receiving clearance from the FDA to market their ROBODOC Surgical System for Total Hip Arthroplasty procedures – this would signify the only active robot system cleared by the FDA for orthopaedic surgery. Their legacy product appearance however did not reflect the sophisticated technology inside. That’s where Compass came in to provide a face-lift for the existing robot.

We created an initial appearance model for a review with their corporate partners, then refined the design for production. We managed the production of the covers for their early 2009 launch in the U.S. market.
